In this article I will explain my legion war start. I will not be explaining what to build, where to build, ect.

So you have decided to play legion wars. Hopefully you know that the best civilization for legion wars is Roman and not Choson. Another thing about legion wars, there are no rules such as "no tc rushing and no farm killing". If you play by those rules you may not read my article because you're a newbie.

Let's get it started. At the start queue/make 15~ villagers in your town center.  Now select one of your villagers and make a barrack near your town center. With one of the other two villagers make a house near your town center.

Now you should have one idle villager, send him out to build barracks around the map. Soon another villager will come out of your town center and your other two villagers will finish the barrack and the house. As soon as the barrack is finished, upgrade Long Sword immediately.  With the two villagers that were building, make a temple next to the barrack. With the next villager that comes out of your town center, make another two town centers.

By now your temple should be built and your second town center should be built and another villager should have come out of your first town center. With the new villager send him to build the third town center.  In your temple upgrade Fanaticism as soon as it's built.  Also in your second town center make another 15~ villagers.

Now with the two villagers that were making the temple, send them to go help build barracks around the map. So you should have three villagers making barracks around the map and two villagers making the third and final town center.

Soon another two villagers will appear and your third town center will be finished being built. As soon as your third and final town center is built, you guessed it, make another 15~ villagers in it. Now you should have four idle villagers in your town. Take two of the villagers and send them to go help build barracks around the map. With one of them go make houses. Make sure when you make houses, that you choose uneven land, such as the side of hills. This will give you more room to farm and maximize your land usage. Now with the final one make two storage pits.

At this point there is no set pattern to the way I do things. It will all depend on the map and how you are playing. With your next villagers that come out you may want to send them to help build barracks, build houses if your having a population problem, or you may want to start farming (you will want to start farming before you start mining gold). In either case your Fanaticism upgrade should be finishing and so should your Long Sword upgrade. As soon as your Long Sword upgrade is finished, upgrade Legions immediately in your barrack.

Also when your storage pits are finished being built, upgrade Metallurgy in one and Chain Mail in the other. Do not upgrade Iron Shield, it is completely useless to have in a legion war since it only protects against missile weapons.

Now you will have a lot of villagers in your town and should be attacking or be waiting to be attacked, since playing defense in legion wars is more affective. Anyway, you will want to eventually make a market and research Coinage in it.

Finally with some of your villagers, you will want to send them to mine the furthest gold pit you can get to safely. Do not mine the gold pit nearest you, mine that one last. With the rest of your villagers you will want to farm. Farming can be difficult in legion wars because there is usually not a lot of space to work with. You may want to delete some of your barracks that you aren't really using, and use that area to farm. Also be sure that you farms are protected, do not build them if there are no barracks in front of them.

Hopefully by now all your upgrades and villagers are done being created. You can now delete everything in your town except for one town center, this will give you quite a lot of land to farm on.

I will give you one more final tip that is extremely important, use all your food as fast as possible. Make like 15+ legions in every barrack, if that doesn't use all your food, make more. This is very important! You should have almost no food throughout the entire game.
